Working Out Never Felt So Good! 

I’ve been such a slacker on the workout/blogging front… I feel so overwhelmed with everything going on at school right now!  I have my first interpreting exam on Tuesday so I’m stressed out about that, not to mention all the projects, assignments, and readings I have to do… not to mention subbing… crazy week!!  I did get to run once this week on the treadmill at school… I incorporated some crazy hills to make it count! ;)  I’m hoping to get some running and lifting in this week… I need to de-stress some time! I hope everyone had a great week and is less stressed out than I am!! :)

Working Out Never Felt So Good! 

Friday I got to workout and for some reason it just felt really good and left me feeling motivated and energetic!! :)  My dad got a weight machine after Christmas to help with his 2012 Resolution of getting fit and I finally got to use it Friday!! :)  I started out with a .5 mile warm up and then did 30 minutes of random weight lifting… whatever I felt like doing, i did lol… followed by a 2 mile run.  After that I did 10 minutes of ab work and .5 miles for a cool down.  Aren’t you all excited that this blog finally has some running related material? ;) lol… here are some pics from Friday:

I LOVE Brook’s New Pure Project Colors!!

I got an email from Brook’s today about their new spring colors for their pure project line and got so excited!!  I love the originals, but the new colors are fun too!!  They have a whole new men’s line for Spring 2012 and a new women’s line as well!  Check it out:


Just wanted to share that with you in case you all are in love with the Brook’s pure project line as I am… I have the Pure Flow and am saving up for the Pure Cadence!  Maybe in one of their new colors… ;)  If I had a money tree in my back yard I would get one of each pair in each of the colors! ;)

2012 Valentine’s Day Card Swap


The Christmas Card Swap went so well and I had a few people email me that they were sorry they had missed it, so I decided “why not do a Valentines swap?”  This will be the inaugural Valentine’s Card Swap!!  This will be setup like the Christmas Card Swap so, Depending on how many people sign up, I will divide you all into groups of about 5 or more people.  You will send a Valentine’s card to all the people in your group, and will be receiving cards from the people in your group.  Let’s say you are put in a group with X,Y,Z…  You will send cards to X, Y, and Z and will receive a card from X, Y, and Z.  Make sense?!

Your cards can be store bought or handmade and you can feel free to add a little something to the card like your favorite running quote, running advice, candy, a sticker, a note of encouragement or a funny note, or you can just send the card… Whatever you want to do is PERFECT!  Just don’t be sending pairs of running shoes, an Ipod, or a free entry to Boston (unless you’re sending it to me)  We want to keep this cheap so everyone can join and doesn’t feel bad for just sending a card!   :)

After everyone is put into their groups I will be sending out an email including your group members ONLY with their blog links (so you can get to know them if you don’t already) and addresses so that there’s still a bit of privacy and everyone’s addresses aren’t out there floating around on the internet somewhere!  Safety people!!  :D   The groups will be picked by so we keep things mixed up!

I will be adding people to a list at the bottom of this page as they sign up…  So, if you sign up and for some reason, do not see your name on the list after a couple days… just shoot me an email and we’ll get it taken care of!

If you can think of anything that I may have left out, let me know!  Let’s get this PARTY STARTED!!!  You are welcome to invite your friends!  All are welcome! :)  Feel free to put the logo on your blog and link it back to this page as an invite to other bloggers! AND YES, international bloggers are welcome to join as well as those without blogs… Dailymilers or Twitterers can join too!!! ;)

3 Things Thursday without the bulleting ;)


haha, yes, I realize it’s already January 12th… but I haven’t posted since New Year’s Eve lol…

This is the last day of my 2nd week of classes this quarter and OH. MY. GOODNESS…
It’s been crazy so far!!  I’m here at school (yes, I’m blogging at school for the very first time ever) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am – 10:30pm …
Not to mention that it takes an hour to get here and an hour to get back home… so I leave my house at:

By the time I get home I am so ready for bed! lol… but I really am enjoying all of my classes… this quarter!  I actually start to learn how to interpret… I’ve already gotten to interpret a few sentences… start out slow right?! ;)

I have found the locker room and weight room here at school and got to run a nice 3 miles on the treadmill on Tuesday which was really nice… and they have free exercise classes here too… My schedule will allow me to take either yoga or zumba between classes so that’ll be fun… I’ve never actually gone to a fitness class like that to workout with other people before…

Well, I just wanted to give everyone a quick update and let you know that the aliens did not come for me on the new year… i’m still here ;) ALSO…  I will be hosting a Valentine’s Card Swap… similar to the Christmas Card Swap… different name… different holiday ;)  So, just a heads up to let you know that signups are coming sometime this weekend! :)  Hope everyone is having a lovely evening!!  (I still have 5 1/2 hours til I will be getting home)    ;)
