I am seriously a legit runner now! I feel like I’ve gone through initiation and am now a part of the “club”. Well… you know that nasty blister on my toe that i got from my half marathon? First it turned into a black toenail, and
IT FELL OFF TODAY!!
So thank you fellow club members for letting me join the club! I’m so excited to be an actual member now!
And Yes, I showed it to my family like it was a trophy or something to be proud of and every single one of them declared that it was nasty, disgusting, or gross. I knew that I could share with you guys and get a completely different reaction ;) Although… yeah it’s still kinda gross haha… but I’m so proud of being toenail-less! ;)
PS- I wont share a picture (and no i didn’t take any pictures lol) of my feet just in case you get grossed out easily lol
Congrats! You'll have to get the shirt that says "Toenails are for sissys". You should take a photo for your keepsake (it's your first after all). Will the toenail fairy come if you put it under your pillow? You go girl!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thank for NOT posting a pic of it!!!!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha...you are totally legit now! :)
ReplyDeleteSweet! Welcome to the club. You passed initiation. :) Next step...go ahead and paint right on the skin. It totally works and no one can even tell. I still sport my flip flops or sandals with my toes all painted. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do...
ReplyDeleteYou should have taken a picture!
ReplyDeleteEmbrace that toenail-less toe. Love it even more than the ones with nails. :)
I totally took a picture of my first missing toenail!! The key is finding a great person who gives pedis and actually paints a "toenail" to make them all look the same!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Mine JUST grew back from my marathons in May! I had read it takes about 6 months and that was almost dead on.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I like the t-shirt idea!!
ReplyDeletei too am in the "paint where the toenail should be" club! it dresses it up and camouflages the carnage to keep it respectable for the non-runners among us...
ReplyDeleteCongrats girl! You did it! You're in. We have zero tolerance for any body part that acts up like that.
ReplyDeleteGross or not, when (if) I ever lose a toenail, y'all are getting pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteLMAO! I remember feeling that way when I lost my first one too... then I lost 7 more and realized I needed bigger shoes! LOL! Welcome to the club!
ReplyDeleteWell congratulations to you! If I lived where you did I'd have a cake made for you ... with a sad little toenail (made of frosting, of course) on the cake. You are so hard core now! ;)
ReplyDelete~RR
Sweeeeeeeeetttt... I haven't had a pedicure since before my first half-marathon... I figure no one wants to touch my feet now! LOL.
ReplyDeleteHaha, so cool! I'm honestly (1) a little jealous and (2) a little disappointed there's not a picture. Haha!! I had a half marathong race this weekend, and I didn't even get a blister.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I lost a toenail about three months ago! It was my first one in two years of running:) Congrats on your toenail loss!! LOL! Have a wonderful week and take care of the toe!
ReplyDeletelol, that is pretty gross, but it definitely means you're a runner! :) I have yet to get a black toenail and I hope I can go a little longer without one. *crosses fingers*
ReplyDeleteDoes it feel weird without a toenail???
hahaha! I think a congratulations is in order! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sparing us!
ReplyDeleteam i the only runner who has never lost a toe nail due to running?? Part of me feels left out but then again i'm glad!
ReplyDeletewhen are we gonna have a VP date, missy?? :-)
Hahah....welcome to the club!!! :)
