Baby Food OR Ice cream?!

So, many of you said that my 2-ingredient ice cream looked “DELISH” or “yummy”  (direct quotes)  ;)  and Wells L even asked for the recipe, although you do not suck for not having pinterest…. I rarely get on mine… ok, I get on it when I want to procrastinate…. which may or may not be always ;) haha…

Anyways… the link for the recipe can be found HERE

These pictures are my own documentation of the process, I did not steal them from anybody!

Some notes on the recipe:

- You don’t have to add peanut butter, you can eat it plain, or you can add whatever you like.  Some suggestions from the blog I found it on are chocolate chips, cocoa powder, fresh fruit, or whatever you have a craving for at the moment… maybe Swedish fish for Hungry Runner Girl ;)

- I do not have a food processor, so I had to use a blender.  I suggest definitely using a processor if you have one!  The blades on the blender are so short that I was constantly trying to rearrange the bananas so that they would all get equally mashed into baby food  ice cream.

My brother said it looked like banana baby food, but both him and my mom put on their brave faces and taste tested my peanut butter-banana ice cream with me.  We all liked it!  It’s a great healthy snack for these hot summer days AND… I was pleasantly surprised that the banana taste wasn’t overwhelming!!  I hope you all enjoy this recipe and if you make it, let me know how you liked it! :)

Another Update :)

Well, my last post was about 2 1/2 weeks ago so I’ll do another quick and easy update to keep you all in the loop! ;)

~At the moment, where I live, we are experiencing a drought… I can’t remember the last summer where the grass was so brown and prickly that I didn’t want to go barefoot!!  This is also the hottest summer we’ve had in quite a while!!

~ As part of the Mezamashii Project, I received a pair of Mizuno Wave Elixir 7’s!  I have not been able to test them out yet, but I’m really excited to take them out for a run hopefully this weekend!

~ I found a recipe on Pinterest for ice cream made out of bananas and peanut butter and decided to give it a try… it was pretty good… and healthy! :)

~ Remember that HUGE test that I had to take that might have postponed my graduation by 6 months???  I PASSED!!!  Which means I get to do an interpreting practicum/internship starting in the fall!!  I’m so excited!!  The first part of the practicum will be observing an interpreter and then I actually get to start interpreting for clients under close supervision!!  yay for field work!! :)

~ I have a meeting tomorrow for said practicum which requires a huge stack of paperwork to fill out

~ I am officially halfway through summer quarter… although, I’d still rather be doing normal summer stuff like swimming, reading, running, biking, picnicking, or knitting… silly schoolwork!  It’s been a stressful couple of weeks!!

~ I have been able to do some “light” ahem… reading before bed this summer… tehe… did I say light? ;)

~ Saturday July 14th was my 25th birthday :)  My hubby brought me home some roses, a funny card, a thing for my car so I can listen to my ipod, and A STICK!!  That thing has become my legs’ best friend!! lol

So, that’s been my crazy past couple of weeks… what have you all been up to?  What are you currently training for?  What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer, and have you done it this summer?

Life as I know it… CRAZY!!!

Well, you can definitely tell when life gets super crazy busy/hectic in my world because blogging is the first thing to get the boot! lol…  I hope you all are running happy, and enjoying life!! :)  I’m never gonna be able to catch you all up on my life unless I just do bullet points… so that’s what you’re gonna get! lol… you’re welcome ;)  I’ll make sure to only mention the “major” events and i’ll add a few pictures to keep it a somewhat interesting post ;)

~ Ran the Capital City Half Marathon on May 5th… got a personal worst time of 2:17:52.  I don’t know if i’ll write a recap or not…

~ Took a huge test that may postpone my graduation by 6 months if I get a 79% or under and I have to wait up to 3 weeks to find out if I passed or not.

~Had severe thunderstorms with hurricane strength winds that knocked out most of Ohio’s power because the wind took out some power lines as well as trees uprooted and taking them out as well… We have electric at home now, but we still don’t have any internet, so I’ve found a place that has both so I can do my homework for tomorrow… they’re saying people could be without power until July 8th and it went out on June 29th… I feel bad for those people!!  (Not to mention it’s been the hottest driest summer I can remember)

If you live in Ohio, how were you affected by the storm?
If you don’t live in Ohio, has your state ever been in a state of emergency?
