If you are a new follower here at Runner’s Luck, you may not know that I am going to school to obtain a 2nd degree, this time in American Sign Language interpreting. If you will direct your attention to the top right hand of my sidebar you will notice I have a little countdown going for graduation… I can’t believe it’s coming up so soon!! Anywho… I spend all of my time right now (and most of the past 2 years) going to class, doing homework, completing projects, studying, and going to practicum/internship (not to mention life outside of that which includes work, family, running, and crafting).
That is why I thought it would be nice if you all could get a glimpse into this crazy life of mine and see what exactly an interpreting student does, because it really is consuming my life right now. I did this artistic interpreting project for class last week and just found out I got an A on it so I decided to share it with you all! Keep in mind it’s not perfect… It’s “Payphone” by Maroon 5! Enjoy! :)
Love the video! We just started sign language classes with our 10 month old and she loves it. She loves going to sign class and has started signing without being prompted. She watched this video with me and was dancing and laughing. Two of her favorite things, music and signing :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! :) That's really neat that you guys are learning sign together! :)
DeleteI don't know if technically that is considered 'singing' in sign language, but that's what it seemed like to me. And I liked it. :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it! :) Thanks for watching!!
DeleteThat was beautiful. It was like a dance - very artistic.
ReplyDeleteThanks Char!! That's what I was going for! :)
DeleteSo awesome! I took an ASL class in high school and loved it! I wish I had stuck with it!
ReplyDeleteThat's neat that you had ASL class in HS! I went to a smaller school and it wasn't offered! I had to wait til college to fall in love with it! :)
DeleteI love the video. It's like a cross between singing, signing, and dancing!
ReplyDeleteGreat video!! that is so exciting that you are so close to being done!! I know the feeling. I am a little over a month away from graduation as well!!
