I run for too many reasons and they wouldn’t all fit apparently! ;)
Today to celebrate the occasion I actually got outside and got a run in! I taped up my knee in KT Tape and headed out the door.
I got in 3.23 miles @13:35/mile (43:50)… talk about feeling slow! :( I just have to keep reminding myself that it will get better and I will be able to run as fast as I used to again…I ended up walking about half of it because I didn’t want to push my luck and end up aggravating my knee more than it is already… I actually think it’s getting better (slightly) but that’s a post for another day… Here are some views from my run today.
Remember the Anywhere5k Virtual Run for OKC that I posted about a couple weeks ago?
This was my #run4ock!
It was also for Run With Jess’s 5000 likes on FB giveaway! Go check it out and like her on FB!
What did you do to celebrate National Running Day?
- Got my butt out the door for a run! :)
Do you ever participate in virtual runs?
- More now than “real” ones because I can go at a slow pace due
to my knee and not feel bad about it…
I biked! The weather was perfect for biking and I don't mind running in the rain another day.
ReplyDeletewoohoo! Way to get out there and be active! :)
DeleteI ran a few miles..and then cleaned my car. The heat is killing me! I have forgotten how much the heat takes out of me
ReplyDeletehaha... bring on the summer heat! ;)
DeleteI always forget it until the first time getting out there in the heat too!
I hit the treadmill for some speed work!
ReplyDeleteWoot Woot! Way to go! :)
DeleteLooks like a beautiful place for a run! Hope your knee gets better. I do virtual runs sometimes, I tend to sign up for them and forget about it, I need a better system apparently.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my running routes! So pretty around here! :)
DeleteSometimes I do too! Sometimes, if there is a race bib, i'll print it out right away and post it on my bulletin board to remind myself... OR if you sign up through #Anywhere5k there's an option for an email reminder! :)
I'm sure you'll be back to running fast before long! I'm glad you still got out there and did it!
ReplyDeleteI ran 4 miles. I have participated in a few virtual runs.
I'm glad I got out there too! Even though it took me 20 minutes more than my 5k PR! haha... yikes!
DeleteWay to celebrate National Running Day with 4 miles! :)
Seems that you enjoyed the day. I wish we had a day like that here. Maybe I must just start it... :)
